ENERGY STAR® Thermal Bypass
To earn the ENERGY STAR label, our homes undergo a Thermal Bypass Inspection. This includes visual third party inspection of framing areas where air barriers are commonly missed and inspection of insulation to ensure proper alignment with air barriers. It’s an extra check to make sure that air and thermal barriers are continuous and complete thus reducing air infiltration, saving money and increasing durability of the HVAC system.
